Ghana Q1 2017 Radio & TV Audience Ratings Report
We are pleased to provide you with a Media Measurement report with audience statistics on Top TV Stations and Top Radio Stations for Quarter 1 2017 in Ghana, where the GeoPoll Media Measurement service is currently available .
Radio
Using the daily data collected through GeoPoll's Media Measurement Service, GeoPoll has analyzed the top Radio stations at the national level in Ghana for Q1 2017. We examined both ratings and share for the top stations in Ghana. The below chart shows the average ratings for the top stations throughout the day:
According to the graph, there is stiff competition between Adom FM and Peace FM on the ratings nationally during peak hours. Adom FM leads from noon to 10PM, although its highest rating being 4.45 between 6-8AM. Peace FM’s highest rating is 4.84 at 6-8AM. There is a stiff competition also amongst all other stations throughout the day.
GeoPoll also examined average share for Q1 2017:
Adom FM takes the lead in shares with an average of 10.9% followed by Peace FM with a share of 10.8%. There is a stiff competition amongst the other radio stations at a national level.
The high share percentage for other stations outside the top 10 indicates the large number of radio stations in Ghana that broadcast at a regional level.
Television
Using the daily data collected through GeoPoll's Media Measurement Service, GeoPoll has analyzed the top TV stations in Ghana for Q1 2017. We examined both ratings and share for the top stations in Ghana. The below chart shows the average ratings for the top 10 stations during the peak hours, from 19:00 to 21:30.
There is stiff competition among UTV, Adom TV and TV3 during the peak hours. Adom TV emerges to get the highest ratings nationally between 7.30-8.30PM with its highest ratings being at 7.30-8PM with an average of 6.92.
GeoPoll also examined average share across the entire day during Q1 2017.
Adom TV captures the top spot with an average of 18.9% followed by UTV with a share of 17.2%, and TV3 in the third position with an average of 16.2%. Joy Prime gets the fourth share position with an average of 11.3%.
